To enhance this aesthetic, the Phanteks Evolv X2 offers phenomenal cable management, including full combability with MSI Project Zero, and ASUS BTF hidden connector motherboards. Additionally, the Evolv X2 features a large compartment behind the motherboard tray that offers ample space for storing excess wires out of sight, allowing you to minimise any visible cables in the main chamber of the case.

To enhance the visual appeal of the Phanteks Evolv X2, this case is available in a range of finishes. Most of the case features a matte finish, with brushed metal internal accent panels. The colour options available are Brushed Black, Silver White, and Black Gold.

Out of Sight Cooling

With its unique layout, the Phanteks Evolv X2 features an innovative vertical cooling design, where cool air is drawn in through the base and exhausted out the top. To do this, the Evolv X2 utilises three 120mm fans at the base of the case, perfect for intake. What’s more, the Phanteks Evolv X2 can be sat on any surface, including thick carpet, as the main structure of the case is raised up several centimetres by four feet, which are attached to a solid base plate.

Three more 120mm fans can be housed at the top of the case, with an additional mount also available on the rear panel which facilitates a 120mm fan. These fans will help to draw air up through the case to cool your components, then exhaust the warm air out the top. Additionally, the Phanteks Evolv X2 top panel conceals a dedicated chamber for housing a 360mm radiator.

Furthermore, the Phanteks Evolv X2 has a unique way of mounting cooling hardware, to further enhance aesthetics. Each fan mounting point is recessed into the chassis, as such they will sit perfectly flush with the surrounding panels. By mounting fans inside their own enclosures, there is less room for air to escape, ensuring more air will be channelled up through the case to maximise cooling performance.

There are multiple options for CPU cooling, with a dedicated chamber at the top of the case for easy installation of a radiator, perfect for AIO coolers. An added benefit of moving your cooling hardware to this compartment, is that the Evolv X2 offers better compatibility between your motherboard and AIO. Alternatively, if you prefer air cooling, with 170mm of clearance there is ample room to install a large tower CPU air cooler.

Hardware Options

A Phanteks Evolv X2 is an excellent platform on which to build a powerful gaming PC, as it offers excellent compatibility with the latest gaming hardware. In addition to facilitating hidden connector motherboards, this chassis supports Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, and 280mm wide E-ATX. boards What’s more, with eight PCIe slots and 380mm clearance, you’ll have plenty of space for a powerful GPU.

The bottom of the chassis conceals several compartments, including a large PSU chamber that can facilitate power supplies up to 250mm long. The PSU chamber is hidden by a large door, which also covers the rear of the motherboard to help hide your cables. In its own separate compartment in front of the PSU chamber, there is a drive cage which easily hold a combination of 3.5" HDDs and 2.5" SSDs. The drive cage is accessed via a small panel which is separate to the main door used to conceal the PSU and cables.
